ChildLine is a free, confidential helpline for all children and young people in the UK. You can call at any time of night or day, and talk about any problem. Phone 0800 1111.
New Childline website for under 12's - Childline has launched a website aimed at children under the age of 12. This provides age appropriate content on topics including: bullying, family, friends, feelings, school, abuse and staying safe. It also includes games and therapeutic tools for young visitors to play and express how they are feeling. It will be promoted through the NSPCC's Speak out Stay safe programme.
Your Voice Cumbria - Work with you to find a way to express the issues that are on your mind, especially when they are affecting your emotional and mental well-being.
NYAS - National Youth Advisory Service - NYAS offer information, advice, advocacy and legal representation to you.
Kooth.com - Free online counselling, support and emotional well-being service, chat and forums - It's safe and anonymous.
Fearless - A place to give information about crime, safely and anonymously, online at Fearless.org.
Safety Net - Safety Net offers support for children and young people regardless of gender or sexual orientation who have been raped, sexually abused, subject to sexual exploitation or who have suffered domestic abuse.
MindLine Cumbria is the country's first dedicated mental health helpline. MindLine Cumbria will help you talk through your concerns, understand your problems better, explore your options, or just be there to listen when you are feeling distressed, alone or unable to see a way forward. MindLine Cumbria is also there for people worried about the mental health of a family member, friend or colleague. They are open 12pm-9pm Monday-Friday, 5pm-9pm Saturdays. Young Carer - A young carer is someone under 18 who helps look after someone in their family, or a friend, who is ill, disabled or misuses drugs or alcohol.

AGENDA - A young people's guide to making positive relationships matter. AGENDA is a free online toolkit developed with young people, for young people. Supporting young people to raise awareness of gender inequalities, sexual harassment and violence. (Cardiff University, Children's Commissioner for Wales, NSPCC Cymru, Welsh Government, Welsh Women's' Aid, 2016).

Physical Abuse - For when an adult deliberately hurts you, such as hitting, shaking, throwing etc.
Emotional Abuse - This would happen, for instance, when a child is being unfairly blamed for everything all the time, or told they are stupid and made to feel unhappy.
Sexual Abuse - An example of sexual abuse would be where a child has been forced to take part in sexual activities or in the taking of rude photos.
Say Something - A space for young people to share any worries they have about themselves or their friends. The helpline is provided by a national charity with lots of experience in supporting young people. As well as the helpline, there are a number of resources to help raise awareness about safe and healthy relationships available on the website. It's free, 24/7 and anonymous. Indecent images of children: guidance for young people - The Home Office has published guidance to help young people understand the law on making or sharing indecent images of children. The guidance includes: definitions of some of the terms used in legislation; examples of situations covered by the law; three short films highlighting the harm that viewing indecent images of children can cause.
