Football Competition - It`s NOT OK to turn your back on child exploitation

Help us to take a stand against child exploitation with one photo, and you could WIN a brand new Nike Park VII kit for your football team!

We are looking for football teams across Cumbria to take part in our competition by sharing a photo of themselves turning their backs and using our hashtags, to help raise awareness of child exploitation and support our campaign.

The ‘It’s Not OK’ campaign, run by the Cumbria Safeguarding Children’s Partnership (CSCP) and the NSPCC, aims to raise awareness of the signs of child exploitation and provides resources for what to do if someone has concerns regarding a potential victim or offender.

With the positive power of sport, and the support of Cumberland FA, the It’s Not Ok campaign is looking for Cumbrian football teams to help us raise awareness.

How to enter

The competition is open to all football teams in Cumbria, age 11+.  The competition centres on sharing on social media a photo of your team turning their backs.  This image is a representation of the team taking a stand against child exploitation by raising awareness and pledging not to turn their backs should they have concerns.

  1. Take your photo – Your football team will need to take a photo your team’s backs or turning their backs.  The photo needs to include more than half of your team’s players to be accepted
  2. Share on social media – upload your photo to your social media channel(s)
  3. Don’t forget to tag us! – Make sure you add our hashtags: #ItsNotOktoturnyourbackonexploitation #Itsnotok and tag us @CumbriaPolice and @CumbriaSCP on Twitter or @CumbriaCops on Instagram.

The competition closes Thursday 30 September.
