Safeguarding in the Early Years

NSPCC Learning has published the latest blog in the Why language matters series. The blog explores the ‘baby blind spot’ and the importance of including babies in the language of safeguarding. It discusses how not including ‘babies’ when talking about ‘children and young people’ can lead professionals to overlook the needs and experiences of babies in safeguarding policy, practice and service provision.
