Multi-Agency MARAC Training Workshops

The MARAC Coordinators within Cumbria Constabulary are running a series of three hour workshops in districts on the MARAC process.

This course has been designed to give an overview of the MARAC process and to develop awareness of risk and how to assess it.  It is suitable for front line practitioners and Managers. 

What are the learning outcomes for this course?

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

  • Explain the MARAC process

  • Identify the benefits of implementing an effective MARAC

  • Examine and explain the MARAC process stages

  • Explain the benefits of using a single multi-agency risk checklist

  • Identify high-risk victims using the SafeLives Dash risk checklist

  • Describe the referral criteria and the referral process for MARAC

  • Formulate an action plan which focusses on risks and safety

The course booking process for all Cumbria County Council staff members has changed to self-service, resulting in staff booking their own courses through MyHR. Full guidance is available through links on InTouch and access to user guides are also available. As a result of these changes the booking process has become fully automated and confirmation and venue information (previously joining instructions) will be communicated through emails to both individuals and managers.
