This course is designed to help participants understand safeguarding responsibilities, thresholds and referral procedures.

You will need to have taken the eLearning course: Safeguarding and Child Protection Level 1 before attending Level 2.

This course is suitable for those detailed in the CSCP Training Framework groups

By the end of this course you will:

be able to demonstrate understanding of responsibilities to safeguard children
be able to identify the threshold criteria of different levels of intervention and the referral process
be able to identify the reasons for changes in legislation and policy
be able to apply new learning in respect of the lessons of Serious Case Reviews and the impact of them upon practice
write an action plan based upon reflective thinking
