Learning from local and national reviews is an important way to improve the safeguarding practices for children and young people.
Reviews can identify what works well and what needs to change, as well as highlight good practices and lessons learned. By sharing the findings and recommendations of reviews, agencies can learn from each other and implement changes.
Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews
The purpose of a review is to establish whether there are lessons to be learned about the way in which local professionals and agencies work together to safeguard children; identify what needs to be changed and, as a consequence, improve inter-agency working to better safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
Learnings from serious case reviews
Sharing learning from serious case reviews in order to improve safeguarding practice is vital. We use the recommendations from case reviews to improve safeguarding of children and young people.
