CSE Half Day Workshop

This half day workshop aims to raise all professionals' awareness of CSE and their role in identifying and addressing it.

Who is this training for?

This workshop is intended for all professionals working with children who wish to improve their knowledge of CSE.

Participants must have completed the CSE Awareness Training eLearning (or equivalent) before being accepted on this course.

Please note those who have previously attended, or are due to attend the CSE full day training should not also attend the half day training as contents covered during the half day workshop is covered during the full day event.

How long is the training?

Each workshop is a half day and will start promptly at 09:30 with refreshments available from 09:00 and finish at 13:00.

Expected outcomes

  • Improved recognition of CSE and vulnerabilities to becoming a victim

  • Knowledge of the screening process and making a referral 

  • Understanding of what CSE looks like in Cumbria

  • Understanding the child's perspective

  • Improved awareness of the legislation, research and policy context

The course booking process for all Cumbria County Council staff members has changed to self-service, resulting in staff booking their own courses through MyHR. Full guidance is available through links on InTouch and access to user guides are also available. As a result of these changes the booking process has become fully automated and confirmation and venue information (previously joining instructions) will be communicated through emails to both individuals and managers. Where a user does not have access to MyHR, then it will be the responsibility of their line manager to book them on the course.
